Before demolition, this pine floor was covered with carpet. We gave the homeowner the option of tearing it out and starting fresh, and that's exactly what we did.
The finished product, featuring Bruce Dundee 2 1/4" prefinished natural white oak. The room is transformed and the space is completely vibrant with sunlight and new hardwood.
The floor beneath the carpet was littered with face nails and gaps between the boards that collected decades of debris. It would have been a tedious process to refinish and not necessarily cheaper or more valuable.
Ray is pictured here using a Skil saw to cut the floor into smaller pieces, and a persuader bar to pry up the boards.
Tearing up a floor is incredibly labor intensive, but with the right tools we are able to work efficiently.
Demolition is all about logictics--we offer removal and disposal services which we oftentimes do ourselves, but we are lucky to work with a few local companies who always deliver a top notch service.
